We are looking for a Project Superintendent who can lead projects, maintain control of active job sites, solve problems thoughtfully, and help deliver a remodeling experience where clients feel informed, respected, and confident in our team.

Position Overview

​

The Project Superintendent leads daily onsite operations for residential remodeling projects throughout Spokane County. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for coordinating employees and trade partners, maintaining jobsite safety and organization, monitoring quality and schedule, and serving as a professional onsite point of contact for homeowners.

The right candidate understands that excellent remodeling requires more than technical skill. It also requires planning, communication, accountability, respect for occupied homes, and calm problem-solving when conditions change.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations on assigned residential remodeling jobsites.

• Coordinate and supervise carpentry crew members, subcontractors, suppliers, and deliveries.

• Maintain project schedules and communicate upcoming needs, constraints, and potential delays.

• Review plans, specifications, selections, and scope information before and during construction.

• Monitor work for craftsmanship, completeness, safety, and compliance with project requirements.

• Perform hands-on carpentry and remodeling work when needed.

• Maintain an orderly jobsite, protect client property, manage debris, and keep client pathways reasonably clean and accessible.

• Provide homeowners with clear, professional updates about progress, planned work, disruptions, and next steps.

• Identify unforeseen conditions, scope questions, scheduling conflicts, and potential changes early.

• Communicate issues to project leadership before making commitments involving scope, price, or completion dates.

• Coordinate the appropriate use and care of company tools, equipment, and materials.

• Document project progress, jobsite conditions, decisions, and issues as required.

• Support walkthroughs, punch-list completion, and responsible project closeout.

• Help crew members succeed by setting clear expectations, teaching when appropriate, and providing respectful, direct feedback.

Required Qualifications

• At least five years of residential remodeling or comparable custom residential construction experience.

• Demonstrated experience leading employees and coordinating subcontractors.

• Well-rounded carpentry and remodeling knowledge, including rough and finish work.

• Ability to read and apply construction plans, specifications, and scope documents.

• Well-rounded carpentry and general trades experience (“jack of all trades”).

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.

• Strong organizational, scheduling, and problem-solving skills.

• Clear, professional communication with homeowners, coworkers, trade partners, and suppliers.

• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with project leadership.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in both visible and concealed work.

• Professional judgment, reliability, accountability, and a willingness to ask questions when information is incomplete.

• Professional-grade hand tools suitable for residential remodeling.

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. Driving between job sites and other project-related locations is an essential function of this position.

• Ability to meet the physical demands of active residential construction work, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.

• This position requires a background check after a conditional offer of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a residential remodeling superintendent or lead carpenter.

• Experience managing multiple phases of occupied-home remodeling.

• Familiarity with local building code requirements.

• Experience using construction scheduling or project-management software.

• Experience coordinating project closeout, punch lists, and homeowner walkthroughs.

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated annual base compensation of  $62,000 to 72,000.
